Психологічні особливості впливу спрямованості особистості старшокласника на професійний вибір

Abstract

У статті представлено результати теоретичного аналізу проблеми впливу спрямованості особистості на

вибір професійної діяльності. У результаті аналізу літератури з проблеми дослідження спрямованості особистос- ті, а також у результаті вивчення типів професій та специфіки професійного самовизначення і проведеного дослі- дження було виділено особистісні характеристики, необхідні для успішного вибору професійної діяльност.The article deals with the issues, related to studying factors of choosing a profession and personality orientations; revealing personal qualities of senior school students, who are going to choose their future profession. Choosing an occupation and professional training are associated with a great number of problems, which are impossible to solve without parents’, teachers’ and psychologists’ help. A man is considered as a personality possessing a social quality, which manifests in his/her professional activities. This quality is determined by the following characteristics: socially defined aim of activity; social status and role in society; norms and values, which condition his/her professional behavior; the level of knowledge and special training. The issue of personality orientation is considered as one of the most important and difficult aspects of human psyche. The issue of peculiarities of influence of personal orientation on the professional choice and satisfaction with it still remains understudied both in domestic and foreign scientific sources. Some personal qualities necessary for the successful professional choice have been distinguished on the basis of scientific literature review on this topic. The theoretical and methodical analysis gives an opportunity to state that the main determinant in vocational choice is professional orientation. If an individual is satisfied with his/her work (professional activities), then he/she lives a fulfilled life. And on the contrary, the job dissatisfaction leads to general discontent with private life. Basing on the results of the carried out experiment some recommendations to professional self-determination have been developed. They can be used in professional diagnostic and consulting activities of psychologists. One of the main tasks of a psychologist when dealing with professional recommendations for a certain person is revealing stable personality qualities, sphere of interests, which provide stable orientation to the chosen occupation.
