Abstract

Стан повсякденного життя в Одесі під час румунської окупації в період Другої світової війни причиною вибору об’єкта дослідження та аналізу зумовлений стратегічним значенням міста як найбільшого портового центру України та особливою актуальністю теми в контексті сучасних подій російсько-української війни. Дослідження досвіду мешканців великих міст у часи екстраординарних викликів дозволяє провести історичні паралелі щодо поведінки цивільного населення на окупованих територіях, стратегій окупаційних режимів та особливостей облаштування побуту в умовах зіткнення двох протилежних реалій. Джерельну в літературну базу роботи складають спогади очевидців, зібрані у працях Олександра Бабіча та астронома Володимира Смирнова, мемуари окупаційного міського голови Германа Пинті, а також тогочасна періодика окупаційної адміністрації як «Одесская газета» та інші джерела та література по даній темі котра є в обширному обсязі. Однак попри наявність значної кількості досліджень і джерел, є тривалий вплив радянської цензури та антирадянської пропаганди спричинило містифікацію окремих аспектів історію окупації Одеси, перешкоджає об’єктивній оцінці історичних подій, що зумовлює необхідність комплексного аналізу для відтворення достовірної картини життя Одеси в окупаційний період. The state of everyday life in Odesa during the Romanian occupation during the Second World War, the reason for choosing the object of research and analysis is due to the strategic importance of the city as the largest port centre of Ukraine and the special relevance of the topic in the context of the current events of the Russian-Ukrainian war. The study of the experience of residents of large cities in times of extraordinary challenges allows us to draw historical parallels with the behaviour of the civilian population in the occupied territories, the strategies of occupation regimes and the peculiarities of the arrangement of life in the conditions of the clash of two opposing realities. The literary basis of the work consists of the memories of eyewitnesses collected in the works of Oleksandr Babich andastronomer Volodymyr Smirnov, the memoirs of the occupation mayor Gherman Pântea, as well as the periodicals of the occupation administration of the Odessa newspaper and other sources and literature on this topic, which are available in a large volume. However, despite the presence of a significant number of research and sources, the long-term influence of Soviet censorship and anti-Soviet propaganda has caused the mystification of certain aspects of the history of the occupation of Odesa. hinders an objective assessment of historical events, which makes it necessary for a comprehensive analysis to recreate a reliable picture of the life of Odessa during the occupation period.
