Development of metrorythmic skills of beginner students in the process of learning percussion instruments

Abstract

The article aims at highlighting the theoretical and methodical aspects of developing metrorhythmic abilities of beginner students in the process of learning to play percussion instruments. The research methodology chosen for this aim included theoretical (analysis, synthesis, abstraction and generalization) and empirical (pedagogical observation) methods. The essence of key concepts, including “abilities”, “musical abilities” and “metrorhythmic abilities” have been considered.
