Abstract

The reform of social policy is one of the most important issues not only for individual EU member states, but also for the European Union as a whole. This article covers the international experience of the formation, organization and legal support of social protection systems. The priorities of the social policy of Ukraine are considered and it is determined that the adaptation of the social policy of Ukraine to EU standards consists in reforming the insurance, health care and legislation systems. Attention is focused on the features of social protection of families, children and young people in the countries of the European Union.
