Дослідження тривожності у молодих жінок, що переживають кризу самовизначення

Abstract

The article deals with the problem of anxiety of young women who undergo identity crisis. The significance of this issue is determined by emergence of problem choice situation that a young woman confronts when graduating a university, entering adult life: career growth or starting a family, motherhood. Complexity of this choice often leads to deterioration of psychological state, individual’s anxiety enhancement. The article presents empiric study of anxiety with 21 year old women, who undergo a critical moment in life. Especially that concerns female graduates who are not only future specialists but young or future mothers, wives and have by graduation to master new social roles. Thus the aim of our research was the study into anxiety of young women who undergo psychological crisis of 21 years connected with graduation and choosing way of life. Women’s age that is dealt with in our research (21 years) is the period of transition to early adulthood. Certain scientists beginning of maturity call youth, some – early adulthood or adolescence but it’s worth mentioning that in all age periodizations 21 years is landmark in formation of mature personality. Due to the change of social roles and change in activity female graduates confront with self-identification crisis. The problem of women’s an- xiety study deserves particular attention because as a property and personal quality of man, anxiety may become a steady personal trait, a source of neurotic disorders and psychosomatic diseases; become an obstacle for self-fulfillment; impede woman’s view of herself as a specialist in her trade, as wife and mother. The article highlights various philosophical and psychological opinions concerning the notion of identity crisis, 21 years crisis, self-identity, separation from parents. Thus our study determines that women’s age that is dealt with in our article is accompanied by 21 years crisis that is marked by separation, detachment from family and transition to the period of early adulthood. Graduation is a catalyst of self-identification crisis both of professional and personal. Intersection of two crises in some cases provokes a hike in anxiety especially with females that confront a complex “career – family” choice. У статті розглядається проблема тривожності молодих жінок, що переживають кризу самовизначення. Актуальність даного питання визначається виникненням ситуації проблемного вибору, що постає перед моло- дою жінкою, яка закінчує ВНЗ, вступає до дорослого життя: кар’єрне зростання чи створення сім’ї, материнство. Складність даного вибору часто призводить до погіршання психологічного стану, підвищення тривожності особистості. Отже, в публікації представлене емпіричне дослідження тривожності жінок 21 року, що переживають кризовий перехідний момент у житті.
