Роль педагогічного університету у розвитку сучасного суспільства

Abstract

У статті проаналізовано розвиток університету як освітнього закладу, розглянуто спільні риси і функції діяльності університетів різних країн, у тому числі педагогічних. Наведено відмінності сучасних інноваційних і дослідницьких університетів. В статье проанализировано развитие университета как учебного заведения, рассмотрены общие черты и функции деятельности университетом разных стран, в том числе педагогических. Приведены отличия современных инновационных и исследовательских университетов. For understanding the role of the university in the modern world, in the space of human culture, the facts from the history of development of the idea of the university as an educational institution are given. Since its establishment, uni- versities have existed as free association of thinkers, researchers and students. Universities, that have just started to function as a diverse community, became a powerful social creating factor in an area. In response to the economic and political demands of social life, universities contributed to the development of civilization through the mechanism of reproduction of culture, increase of knowledge and training community-oriented professional and intellectual elite. It is noted that the universities of last decades is a complex element not only of education, but also of the entire society. Analyzing the development and functioning of universities, the leading role of university in the development of society and the state was emphasized. The growth of universities as specific intellectual centers that plays the central role of new sources of knowledge and training of the intellectual elite of the society for environmental social and cultural space was emphasized. It is noted that in the universities in society are assigned the following functions: teaching, re- search, service, cultural, humanistic. In pedagogical universities, whose activity is focused on training of personnel for the education system, these features become more specialized and concretizing.
