Artistic-imaginative thinking of future choreographers as a founadion for creating vivid dance images

Abstract

The paper addresses the issue of developing artistic-imaginative thinking in future choreographers. It examines the cognitive processes involved in perceiving and creating artistic images and highlights the role of art in fostering these processes. The relationship between the level of development of a choreographer-director's artistic-imaginative thinking and the quality of the dance images they create is substantiated. An analysis of studies examining this mental phenomenon as a form of cognitive activity, an essential component of a choreographer's artistic competence, a component of creativity, and an element of compositional-choreographic thinking is provided.
