| Abstract: | This paper mainly investigates the similarities and differences in the syntactic structure and semantic relationship between the Chinese "ba"-sentences and their English counterparts. However, due to the fact that there are many structural types of the "Ba"-sentences ("N1+ ba +N2+VP"), this paper only makes a comparative analysis of the resultant complements of the "Ba"-sentences and their English counterparts. The resultant complement of the "ba"-sentence is VP= (AD) +VR, and R is the resultant complement. Ця стаття в основному досліджує подібності та відмінності в синтаксичній структурі і семантичний зв'язок між китайськими «ба»-реченнями та їх відповідні речення в англійській мові. |
