Development of educational linguistics

Abstract

In recent years, there has emerged an argument in academic community of linguists. What is educational linguistics? Its concept and nature has not yet been agreed upon by the Chinese scholars. The term has been misused, confused, and cross-used with other terms in current papers. The research scope of educational linguistics? Relation to the other branches of linguistics and pedagogy have been represented in the article. The author attempts to trace the historical development of educational linguistics as a field of science. The implementation of the interdisciplinary program facilitating the development of linguistics and education in China has been described. Останніми роками в академічній спільноті лінгвістів виникла суперечка. Що таке освітня лінгвістика? Її концепція та природа ще не узгоджені китайськими вченими. Термін вживають неправильно, плутають і перехресно вживають з іншими термінами. Відношення до інших галузей мовознавства та педагогіки представлено в статті. Автор намагається простежити історичний розвиток освітньої лінгвістики як галузі науки. Описано сприяння розвитку лінгвістики та освіти в Китаї.
